Another winner for this series! You know what they say, you can put your past behind you and start new but the past doesn't always go away. Michael finds that lesson out the hard way. He left his small town and father behind after a huge falling out and went into the city to live a whole new life. But when his father has a stroke, Michael, whose whole world is already imploding, decides to head back to the town he left behind to take care of his dad and find what he wants to do next. But he never thought he'd find the best thing to ever happen to him. Josiah, my little cinnamon roll! That boy has had a rough road that never seems to get easier. He came to Weston for a new job and a new start yet found himself in a possibly worse arrangement he's ever been in. Neither man is happy with where their lives have led them, but when these two men meet, they see each other. They've both been in bad situations but they decide to be friends and it slowly grows into more. A beautiful read

It's so nice to visit this group again. Reading A.M. Arthur's His Reluctant Cowboy is a bit like getting caught up with family. Fans of A.M. Arthur's Clean Slate Ranch series will want to dive right into the Woods Ranch stories. Start with His Fresh Start Cowboy because the characters from that novel do play a part in Seamus and Josiah's tale. You don't need to have read the Clean Slate Ranch novels to start this series though.

A.M. Arthur was born and raised in the same kind of small town she likes to write about, a stone's throw from both the ocean and generational farmland. She's been writing stories in her head since she was a child and scribbling them down nearly as long. When not exorcising the voices in her head, A.M. can be found in the kitchen experimenting with food and trying not to poison herself or others.
