About this eBook

Ginny Fairway didn’t have a typical childhood. Her father, Arnold Fairway, was a criminal, a known thief, and a murderer. When she reaches the age of understanding, Ginny realizes what her father has had her involved in all her life and runs away from that life. She joins up with Jasper Connelly, who is acting as a bounty hunter, and Fairway is his target. They grow to trust each other and fall in love.

But when Ginny is shot, and Arnold rides off with her on the back of his horse, Jasper pursues to no avail. He loses his woman and the man who took her in the blink of an eye. Will he ever see his love again?

Jasper goes home to Low Branch, Texas, to meet up with his brother, Jeremiah, who has been running their family estate since the death of their father. Jasper must get back into the good graces of his brother and the town he left behind if he expects any help from them.

Ginny isn’t dead. When she sees the opportunity to get back to Jasper, she takes it. But the risks are high, and Arnold is after them both. Will they reunite and rekindle the love they had before they were separated? Will Jasper still love her the way he did before? Or will Arnold come out the winner, taking the lives of both his daughter and the man she loves? He’s killed before. Ginny and Jasper have to find a way to work together to make sure he doesn’t get the chance to kill again.

The story line was good following from the first two in the series, so I was willing to keep reading into the series. But right off in the last book, Jeremiah's friend's name abruptly changed from Brenda to Bridget, as well as a few mis-spellings, and typos. also, I understood from the first book that Denver was at least a few years older/wiser than his partner, but the book about Denver set him as mid-twenties - same age as or younger than his partner. In this book I was also frustrated by little things that should have been resolved in proof-reading and editing. 1) Ginnie was first carried roughly out of the clinic by the Sheriff. Twice later in the book the story line referred to her as having been carried out by the Doctor. 2) with two other former bounty hunters having been featured in this series, who were still living in town, and we're supposedly friends of Jeremiah's, it didn't make sense to me that they were Not mentioned as being involved in the response to Ginnie's being taken from the main street in town in this book. They would have, at the very least, helped protect Jeremiah's property And we didn't find out why Jeremiah's ranch staff weren't talked about after the barn fire and confrontation with Arnold - were they all right? Had they been held captive while all this was going on? The story line was decent, but this book left me dissatisfied.
