About this eBook

Everyone knows the first time you meet that special someone: Your eyes connect from across the room, and you smile and work up the courage to say hello. It’s a simple feat for most people, but not for Trevor Friessen, who struggles to fit into this world and thinks he always will—that is, until he meets a girl who is as different from him as she is the same.

“Our families and everyone around us, what they don’t understand is that we too feel love.”

I love that we are getting a look into the present day lives of the Friessen children and the parents we first fell in love with a few years ago. Getting a glimpse of Brad and Emily’s, Katy and Steven’s, and Becky and Tom’s lives is like visiting with old friends. But the real treat, and the main basis of the book, is Trevor’s story. This specifically struck a very personal cord for me so I may not be as impartial as some readers. One of the points that I particularly appreciated was addressing the matter that persons with Autism or on the spectrum, although may not be able to interpret or understand abstract emotions the way others do, they are still capable of feeling those emotions. I truly appreciated this story for that reason, but I also found this to be a very engaging and enjoyable read. It is fast-paced and entertaining and will keep you involved from start to finish. I highly recommend this delightful addition to what has always been a wonderful series!

This is Trevor's story. He seems to always be in his own head and not listening to what others are saying while talking to him. He has a job at the baker in a grocery story and quite enjoys it. There he meets a girl. One day, his sister Katie drives him to work but stops off at the bank first. All hell rains loose. Bandits. Guns. Robbery. What a wonderful story of Trevor and his girl. Loved it.
