About this eBook

NOW A NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES

If you have not read anything about the Baudelaire orphans, then before you read even one more sentence, you should know this: Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are kindhearted and quick-witted, but their lives are filled with bad luck and misery. All of the stories about these three children are unhappy and wretched and will most likely fill you with deep despair.

From The Bad Beginning to The End, this comprehensive collection with unfortunate bonus material that may or may not include trivia questions, character profiles, and several very sad sentences is the only choice for people who simply cannot get enough of a bad thing!

I've read the books and I've seen the movie in grade school. I watched the TV series once last year and again this year. It may seem a little repetitive, but these books are really worth it. The orphaned kids have hidden talents that help them outsmart their evil (and may I say very creepy) uncle in many ways than one who tried steal the Bouldelaire fortune, especially when all hope seemed lost. They still prevailed and were finally free from him at the end.

Though advertised the extras aren't extra. They are just random quotes found throughout the books themselves cobbled together without much thought and paned as character facts. For a long finished series that is famous for multiple allusions and huge pre planning by writer and artist, this was a really wasted opportunity ands am upset that they even advertised bonus material as it did factor into my buying decision.

Reading these books really have a way to bring tears to my eyes. If I had anything that would sum up this peice of literature it would be this. This series is like no other, (that I have read so far) in the sense that this series has a unique way of bringing both my happiest days and my saddest back from my memory. But over all im glad that I decided to read this series in 6th-9th grade. And for that I urge any readers to try the series. You might just be suprised on what you create afterwards.

Brett Helquist's celebrated art has graced books from the charming Bedtime for Bear, which he also wrote, to the New York Times–bestselling A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket to the glorious picture book adaptation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol.
