Good series starter! Emma Harmon is back home in Cape Hope to write an article about the new restaurant and resort being opened by a childhood friend. He is an excellent chef and the food is delicious. the night is shaping up nicely until she trips over a corpse on the beach. Now she is a possible suspect and so is her old friend. She really needs to solve this case even if her dad and that hot young detective want her to stay out of the investigation. I really enjoyed this book.

I have to wonder in the next book... what the health dept thinks of Lola's bed set up on the kitchen of Grandmother's kitchen

The read was very good with twist and turns the characters were wonderful as well
