Ralph McInerny was the Michael P. Grace Professor of Medieval Studies and Director of the Jacques Maritain Center at the University of Notre Dame. Professor McInerny was a fellow of the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas and past president of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars, the American Metaphysical Society and the American Catholic Philosophical Association. In 1999-2000 Professor McInerny delivered the Gifford Lectures at the University of Glasgow.
