This short story is a new retelling of the oldest Christmas tale of all.



What would happen if Jesus were born not in 4BC in Bethlehem, but in
modern-day Ipswich, Queensland (famous for its historic architecture
and alcohol-sodden population), in Australia? Would the virgin Mary
truly be virginal? How would she react to an angel of the Lord?

Naomi is an Australian author living on Macleay Island, in south-east Queensland. She works in IT, and loves to play with the English language in her spare time. She's usually found sporting brightly-coloured hair and wielding a mug of coffee as though it's her last bastion against a comatose state.
