According the author, this work was inspired by a comment credited to Prof. Wole Soyinka, Nigerian foremost playwright, poet, novelist, and Nobel laureate, describing the present generation of Nigeria as A WASTED GENERATION, and the activism of the Nigerian foremost and indefatigable human rights crusader, Late Chief Gani Fawehinmi. The novel is an expose of corruption in every segment of African society. It exposes the political, religious, educational, economical and moral decay and decadence in Africa. It satirizes the leadership mistrust and dissappointment.

Quelques mots sur l'auteur

Adewole Olubunmi Adedokun (1961—), a Nigerian writer, hails from Alade, a village in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State. Born into a peasant family, sickness denied him early education until 1969 he was enrolled by one of his younger brothers at Ibadan District Council Primary School in his village. He could not begin his secondary education until the age of 18 in 1979 at Fatima College, Ikire, Osun State. Between 1984 and 1986 he was at Ibadan Grammar School, Molete, Ibadan, Oyo State, for his Higher School Certificate. He eventually obtained his first degree in English/Political Science (1991) and M. Ed Language Education (2002) respectively from the Department of Teacher Education, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Adewole Olubunmi Adedokun has written two other books, You and Your Talents (2003) and A Comprehensive English Grammar for Schools and Colleges (2006). He is currently a Principal Lecturer in Nigeria at Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel. He is married to Bukola and blessed with four children—Sarah, Shalom, Samuel and Sharon.
