Though victorious, the Mongol Empire’s own end was near. Soon after the conquest of

Aleppo and Damascus, Hulagu Khan’s advance to expand his empire in Arabia was halted after his defeat to courageous Mamluk army in Ain Jalut.

I have always been curious to know about Hulagu Khan and the Siege of Baghdad and how Baghdad was reduced to rubble by the mongol cruelty. For those who want to know about it, this is the best book. Right from the start to the end, it is very interesting and intriguing. A must read for those who want to know about Hulagu Khan and the Siege of Baghdad
