About this ebook

Ollie Dormier's tattoos are deadly. She is a Scrivener-an employee for Death-and her skull tattoos mark her clients for their demise. She does her job, and she stays out of trouble. But when her hands start to burn hot and fierce, and her control goes leaping out the window, all hell breaks loose. Ollie is showing the early signs of being a Master...demonstrating power that is forbidden.

That power is exactly what Reaper Brent Hume is counting on. A hot, scruffy rebel, who does marvelous and terrifying things to Ollie's insides. Now he needs Ollie's help-and her skills-to overthrow the evil and corrupt Head Reaper. That is, if he can figure out a way to keep this hot-handed girl cool...and keep his hands off.

Being a Scrivener means that Ollie Dormier’s tattoos are deadly and like any good employee she tries to stay out of trouble but she’s showing signs of being a master and that is forbidden in this death defying paranormal romance. Brent Hume is a rebel and he’s counting on Ollie’s power to overthrow the evil and corrupt Head Reaper and the reader can’t help but get caught up in all the thrills and chills as Brent and Ollie try to stay ahead of the all the reapers on their tail. There is a smoldering attraction between Brent and Ollie but he’s a rebel that’s been hurt in the past so the relationship is slow building but passionate and of course being hunted doesn’t help matters. The characters are strong compelling and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning while the steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of suspense, thrills and romance. With Ollie’s hands burning hot and fierce and the Head Reaper being so evil and ruthless things escalates into a deadly game of chase with excitement and tensions building throughout the story. The scenes are well written and paint vivid images that makes it easy for the reader to picture each and every scene well enough to send chills down your spine in some of the situations while the intriguing events guarantee that the reader wants to know everything that happens. The story starts off a little on the slow side but the world is fascinatingly clever and complex with lots of interesting elements and quite a bit different from others that I have read, so in this case the slower beginning kind of ensnares you and before you know it you are on a thrilling ride as you become completely caught up in all the excitement. Although the story is a little on the dark side, I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
