About this ebook

Abraham Lincoln: The Boy and the Man is not a critical study, but a simple story. Its aim is to present in dramatic pictures the struggles and achievements of a common man, in whom the race of common men is exalted; who solved great problems by the plain rules of common sense and wrought great deeds by the exercise of the common qualities of honesty and courage, patience, justice, and kindness. -- Foreword.

It's a great book, I could not put it down. I've learned a lot about Abe that I had no idea about how he grew up dirt poor. That's what made him a great president of The President of the United States.

A compelling biography of a truly great man! Being a descendant of many who fought and died for the confederacy, I have a new appreciation for how Lincoln kept our nation together through a horrific period. Why do we have no Lincoln's in government today...not a single one?
