This is my first read for D.B. Reynolds and I really enjoyed it. The writing was great, the story grabbed my attention from the first page and the characters were fascinating. I loved the power struggle in the Midwest territories between the vampire candidates. Having read the series out of order, I find that I wasn’t lost in the storyline. I would have liked to have more background on other characters so I will definitely be checking out the other books in the series. I also loved Aden’s seduction of Sidonie, although it didn’t take much because she wanted him too. It was a sensually erotic journey that had my breath hitching every time the two were in close proximity to each other. I love vampire books and this was a wonderful twist on the myth. A refreshing story laced in brutality and eroticism. If you love vampires, you’ll love this book. ***I received an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

Bokk was really good. My only issue is that half of it were sex scenes. Let the story shine. Overall good read.
