This book was one of the most inciteful scientific books I've ever read! They do a great job of telling ecological stories in a way that anyone can understand. And Man! What cool stories. I have a BS in Wildlife science and I'm familiar with some of the interactions mentioned by these guys. But they opened my eyes to so many new ideas. I feel that my understanding of the Tropics has been increased 10 fold!! The writing style is also very good, very easy reading. As a field biologist there work struck a chord. I recomend this book to anyone who is planning a trip to the tropics. I have never been before, but this book has helped push me in that direction. I recently accepted a job in Maui for 5 months and my hope is that this book will make my experience there that much better. Can't wait to read more of there work. Hats off to Forsyth and Miyata.
