I liked it but.. as a woman felt Linda's character was very forced at times... lots of mumbling... loved the end the most. It was great to auto examine my own self estate, stem and to see the larger picture after an affair is healthier than focus on negativity.

I escaped my teens not too long ago and have just emerged into this new chapter in life. I started reading this book because I thought it would be a good transition from the Alchemist (which is by Paulo Coelho and I would feel terribly nostalgic if I do not read another of his great works) to Murakami's 1Q84 (which would need some warm up due to its mature content). At first, I thought that this book does not relate to me because 1. I am still excited about life and 2. I'm not old. As I read on, however, I came to realize that this would be one of the books I would love to recommend to myself 10+ years from now. If the motive of this book does not "get" to you yet, take it in as simply words of wisdom written in the form of a story or as an entertainment about an imperfect woman living in an imperfect world. I would definitely come back to read this again many years from now!

I was a person that will never tolerate adultery.. but by this book. We can understand why people doing that. So we will not so easy judge people. When people doing something terrible.. it doesn't make him as a terrible person.
