About this eBook

How does an egg develop into a chick? What is the process for making butter at home? What is organic farming? Learn the answers to these questions and many more when you share the adventure with Max and Eva on their grandparent’s farm. Follow Eva as she helps customers at a farmers market. Join Max as he discovers a collection of Indian artifacts in the local library. With Eva’s energy and humor and Max’s quest for knowledge, the book is fast-paced, fun and educational.

The author, Dee Livers, was raised by her grandparents on a small farm in Salisbury, Missouri. Much of this book is drawn from memories of her childhood.

About the author

Dee Livers lives in Ellisville, Missouri and is married and has two grown sons. She is also the grandmother to two adorable grandchildren, Max and Eva. They are the inspiration for her children’s books and provide the ideas for what she hopes to be many more books to come.

In addition to writing children’s books, Dee also paints with watercolors. For a complete list of her children’s books and a collection of her artwork, go to www.Deesbooks.com.

Dee retired from a career in finance in December of 2014. She has had a number of different careers during her working life, but the one she enjoyed the most was as a pre-school teacher at a Montessori school. It was this experience that gave her the desire to write children’s books. She also volunteers as a storyteller at local schools and youth-related events.
