About this ebook

Agatha Christie’s most daring crime mystery – an early and particularly brilliant outing of Hercule Poirot, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, with its legendary twist, changed the detective fiction genre for ever.

Roger Ackroyd was about to be married. He had a life of wealth and privilege. First he lost his fiancée – and then his life.

The day after her tragic suicide he retires upstairs to read a mysterious letter, leaving his closest friends and family to eat dinner below.

Just a few hours later he is found stabbed to death in a locked room with a weapon from his own collection.

Was he killed for money? For love? Or for something altogether more sinister?

The truth will out.
But you won’t see it coming.

This book made my mouth wide open with its ingenuity! Another brilliant masterpiece of Christie that will pull you in the book with all the interesting suspects, a wild murder, clues, shifting views, wonderful revelations and a satisfying ending. This more is made more special with Poirot's addition and he was intelligent as usual. The narration of Dr. Sheppard in the entire book is smooth and easy to understand. As known, the revelation of the murderer will surprise you a lot and it feels impossible how the person can be the murderer yet it is him. A nice read.

Five stars for Agatha Christie ' masterpiece. But this copy of it has missing punctuation, and words run together, making it almost illegible - I strongly recommend you buy a copy elsewhere.

Highly recommended. I stumble across a short description of this book and that it was popular due to the shocking plot twist within the book. I have to say, having read her previous works; mysterious affairs at styles and murder on the link, I thought that Christie couldn't catch me out, but let me assure you, no matter how hard you think the ending will still leave you with your jaw wide open. No matter if you like the twist or not, noone can deny that this novel is one of Christie's best novel's!
