About this ebook

Will Kaguya figure out what Miyuki wants for his birthday plus present him with the perfect cake? Is treasurer Yu flunking out of school and beyond help...or can the one he fears most get him back on track? Then the romantic autumn moon-viewing festival leads to some stellar night moves. The student council plays a role-playing game in which at least one member doesn’t get to play out their fantasy. Ai assumes an alter ego to prove she can get Miyuki to fall in love with her in just one day. And Miyuki’s time as student council president is up!

We play many roles in life.

The battle is getting fierce as the end of the school year approaches. Firstly, Kaguya has to figure out how to celebrate Shirogane's birthday without making it seem like she cares too much. Obviously she goes overboard first (and then Ai has to bring her down), but the twist in the next chapter as either side tries to make it seem like the other cared a lot was intersting - sometimes I feel Shirogane can barely hold his own when it comes to matching wits against Kaguya's manipulations. Speaking of Ai, she has become frustrated with the lack of progress on Kaguya's behalf, so it was fun to see her try to flirt with Shirogane. Another interesting interaction was between Kaguya and Yu, as she tries to save him from flunking and being held back a year - he initially thinks she is just doing it to torture him, with his 'vision' of the events showing her as a sadistic person, complete with a whip. (I honestly love how he is utterly terrified of her!) Shirogane shows that his enthusiastic nerd side has more game than his regular serious kid facade, as he flusters Kaguya during an Autumnal moon viewing. The end of the school year was being played off seriously as a game changer, but then it fizzled out, which was a shame. I wanted to see how their flirtations would survive in other school settings, too!
