About the author

Alexander Joseph Huber received his M.Sc. in computer science from the Technische Universität München (TUM), and Certificate dAuditeur in computer science from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, France. He is examiner at the European Patent Office, Munich, Germany, in the field of computer systems. Josef Franz Huber received his M.Sc. in electrical engineering at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria. Mr. Huber is senior vice president, Mobile Network Business Unit, Siemens AG, Munich, Germany. He presently holds the position of the Chairman of the Mobile Industry Group at BITKOM, Germany, and is Vice Chairman of the UMTS Forum.
