Alexander McCall Smith is best known for the series No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, beloved New York Times and international bestsellers. A practising Professor of Medical Law and the author of over 50 books, ranging from children’s fiction to folk tales to The Criminal Law of Botswana, he lives in Edinburgh.
