The author of this book was Lewis Carroll. Lewis Carroll lived from 1832 to 1898.She was born on January 27, 1832 in Daresbury, Cheshire, England. He attended Richmond school, Yorkshire, Rugby school, and Christ Church. He was very educated. The book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was released in 1865. Lewis Carroll was the oldest boy of 11 children. He loved writing books for children. Alice had become the most popular children's book in England, and by 1932 it was one of the most popular in the world. He died on January 18, 1898 in Guildford, England. The book starts off with a little girl named Alice who was sitting by a river reading a book. Alice catches sight of a small white figure, a rabbit dressed in a waistcoat and holding a pocket watch. Alice runs after the rabbit and follows it into a hole. She notices that she fell in a room full of doors. At the end of the room there is a little door with a tiny key and she sees a garden. She sees a bottle labeled "Drink Me" ,and she drinks it until she shrink. She left the key on the table and now she is unable to reach it. Then she finds a cake that says,โ€Eat Meโ€, and she does. She is now back to her original size. Alice starts crying and she shrinks again and is washed away by her own tears. There was a table set out under a tree in front of the house, and the March Hare and the Hatter were having tea. So Alice joins them for their tea. She meets numerous characters such as a caterpillar smoking a hookah and a Cheshire Cat. The book reaches its climax in the trial of the Knave of Hearts, who is accused of stealing the Queen's tarts. Alice grows back to her normal size and she stands up for the knave and the queen. While she is fighting off the queenโ€™s card soldiers, Alice finally wakes up and realizes she was dreaming all along. This book is very different because it is strange. Lewis Carroll does a good job by describing the scenes and characters. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, in my opinion, is a good book for kids because it is a fun book and it is very appropriate for kids. There is no bad language or anything that is disturbing for kids. There are a lot of adults that like this book too. To me, this book is suitable for all ages. I think this book is perfect for kids because it is something they would enjoy. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a really good book. It is an all time favorite.
