Margaret Watkins
A suspenseful drama, Death Notice has a light brush of romance over a detective story where the victims keep on popping up in Monroe's Obituary Column. Having been jilted for a Barbie look-alike, Monroe no longer has tender feelings for Adam, but he can still make her life miserable. Detective Brody brings a new element into Monroe's life, but being part of his investigation makes it difficult for them to pursue the attraction that flows between them. After all, he is already married. The story is well written and suspenseful. However, I did find the back and forth between the characters in the book a little confusing, especially as it usually happened mid-chapter. The book does, however, end on a positive note leaving the way forward to a sequel. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.
