Scott Fitzgerald was primarily famous as a gifted and prolific writer of short stories, which were regularly published in the most popular periodicals of the day. F. SCOTT FITZGERALD was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1896. He attended Princeton University and published his first novel, This Side of Paradise, in 1920. Fitzgerald’s masterpieces include The Beautiful and Damned, The Great Gatsby, Tender Is the Night, and a host of widely admired short stories. Fitzgerald and his wife, Zelda, lived in New York, Paris, and the Riviera; he died in 1940 at the age of forty-four.
