This is a story of discovery, friendship, love - The story picks up after the last one and Deacon, Adam and Brooke. She is the mother of twin and ready to start dating again. Her friend Deacon and his on and off lover Adam will guide her on how to find love in exchange for her business acumen. Soon they will find themselves enthralled with each other with a mixture of small town gossip and a bit of drama. It is an interesting story that makes you anxious to read what's next. I volunteered to review this story.

I really enjoyed this OWYM, friends-to-lovers romance – so flirty, so sexy and so very steamy! Brooke was such a delightful character – creative, intelligent, loyal to friends & family and dedicated to her children. I particularly liked how (after years of putting her kids first) she realized at the tender age of 40 that perhaps she was missing out on life – and more specifically, sex. Deacon and Adam (both eight years younger) were more than agreeable to tutor her in the current dating scene and beyond happy to introduce a bit of kink into her sex life through spanking and bondage. Now, if only all three would agree they should become more than merely friends-with-benefits, life would be perfect – in spite of the local town gossips. The story is well written and the characters while fun, interesting, and likeable are not without past baggage and some ongoing drama. There’s plenty of humour, some angst and several explicit sexual encounters including MF, MM and MMF scenes. I received an Advance Reader Copy from the author, and am voluntarily leaving a review.

For me, this book was all about getting another chance to find love. I also found some pretty powerful messages about being responsible for your own happiness and not living your life to satisfy anyone else but yourself. For his ability to embrace those concepts, I adored Adam. I wanted to cuddle him tight when the others were resisting their connection. Brooke and Deacon kind of broke my heart with all the emotional baggage they were still clinging to. They had my sympathy, but I still wanted to smack some sense into them at the same time. The ending of this book left me with a sweet happy sigh and a strong reluctance to let go of these characters. I can’t wait to see what the author brings us next. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
