Sara Burgess lives in Manchester with her long-suffering husband, her beloved bear-dog Sweep, three cats; Frodo, Gandalf and Gimli and her furry boy Indy, the Golden Retriever (actually, the whole ‘golden’ thing is a misnomer, he’s white!). She has lived at various times in Florida, Spain, France and has held jobs as a video shop assistant, bank clerk, school teacher, supermarket till worker, hotel receptionist, bookshop assistant, archaeologist, Intranet evangelist and currently works as an Information Security Manager, a job that pays for her first love: writing. In her increasingly infrequent spare time she enjoys the movies, walking and training her dog, learning to speak Italian, reading voraciously and spending time with her friends doing the Hygge thing.
