⭐⭐⭐.5 This conclusion to the dark trilogy fairy tale retelling of Beauty and the Beast is an action filled adventure that packs serious heat. Haley Constantine and Leo Morelli as a couple must fight every step of the way to their Happy Ever After. I was exhausted but quite satisfied by the end of this wild ride. I really did enjoy the story and the way it made my heart rate skyrocket at times. I loved seeing the changes and growth of both Leo and Haley. They worked hard to be worthy of each other.I loved the look Amelia Wilde gave us into the deepest parts of, the Beast of Bishop's Landing. Haley's transformation into a fierce protective lioness made me roar with pride. These two not only broke, but also healed each other. Fallen Rose completed Leo and Haley's journey quite satisfactorily. The struggles and unexpected turns in this story made the arrival at their destination the sweetest I have witnessed in a good long while.

Oh, Leo Morelli. The Beast of Bishops Landing. The protector of all he loves. Damn, I knew when this man fell in love, he'd fall hard. I love how he fell for someone who needed him as much as he needed her. Leo and Haley were so damn good together. So much fire, so much angst and desire and lust between them. They explore their mutual attraction in the best way possible, fully giving each other what they need. I love how she bent to his will when necessary, and how she saw the man underneath his hard facade. She knew he was as desperate for love as she was. He made me want to strangle him at one point, but thank God that was short lived. And I love how Haley got a backbone because as much as Leo loved being big and bad to her innocence, I think he really needed to have her stand up for him in a way no other person ever has. He needed her strong to be by his side, and I feel like by the end of this book she finally got there. I miss these two already, but I love the closure she brought to their story.

What a fantastic conclusion to this trilogy, the pace, tension, angst, drama, emotion and steamy hot, dirty sexiness did not diminish at all. I was glued to the pages. I totally fell in love with Haley and Leo. Their love was hard fought, full of heart, heat and anguish. What they both went through showed their strength of character and tenacity. (Caroline seriously needs.....removing from her position of power. What a despicable, nasty piece of work she is). The layers Amelia Wilde ripped away from Leo like a band aid, to expose the true beauty of his dark, pained, tortured soul were heartbreaking, healing and hot in equal measure. I loved, loved, loved Leo, his intensity and dominant aura, the protector and beautiful beast. He's absolutely my favourite anti-hero from The Midnight Dynasty world (sorry Winston, although it was good to get a glimpse you again too). My heart was mangled alongside Leo and Haley's, but healed with them too. Brilliant trilogy I'd highly recommend and can't wait for what's next following that intriguing epilogue from Leo's sister Daphne's pov. 5 dark, delicious stars
