This is the highly anticipated and completely delectable second piece of Leo and and Haley's story. You must read book one, Secret Beast before diving into this book. Also, just in case you are unaware, there is a cliffhanger at the end of this book. This trilogy is by far, one of the best modern takes on The Beauty and The Beast fairytale that I have ever read and believe me when I say that I have read many of them. While the basic bones are familiar, the twists are fresh, edgy, dark and hot. This couple and their romance is the type that wrecks your heart, sneaks into your soul and easily becomes an obsession. Leo and Haley's epic story continues with more can't turn the pages fast enough drama and intensity, more raw, leave your heart bleeding emotions and more have you gasping for air, stunning twists. The torrent of feels that this story delivers is potent and extreme. From the "OMG", edge of your seat moments to the sweet "Aww" ones and from the full on heartbreaking, leave you in tears ones to the "If I could just reach into this book someone would be so sorry" in full rage mode ones, you powerfully (and yes, sometimes painfully) experience it all and I for one wouldn't want it any other way. I can not wait to see what happens as the story comes to an end in book three! A side note: This trilogy does take place in the Midnight Dynasty world. I do feel that you can enjoy this trilogy on its own but I know you will enjoy a much deeper and richer reading experience if you read the other books set in this world because some characters reappear, events are referenced and there is a bit overlying story arc going on in the ongoing, long-term feud between The Constantine and The Morelli families. So, you decide which works the best for you. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own and posted of my own accord.

Rating: 🥀🥀🥀🥀 What a wild ride Hidden Beauty was! The twists and turns never stop… you’re left holding your breath right until the end of this story. And then you get to deal with one of those awful cliffhangers – not that the end of this book is awful or anything, it’s just… ugh the cliffhanger makes me want the next book like NOW. In Hidden Beauty, you see the relationship between Haley and Leo develop even further. You see how they overcome tragic situations. Leo is still a jerk, but you learn why he is the way he is. He doesn’t know how to love people, but he’s trying with Haley. He’s also trying to wreck her… those scenes are so frigging steamy! Learning the reasons why Leo is who he is will make your heart absolutely break. There’s a pretty big scene that happens towards the end of the book and OMG, it had me on the edge of my seat and seriously holding my breath. I kinda enjoy the messiness that is their relationship. I’m not sure the story would be as enjoyable if things just worked out for them. You definitely need to read Secret Beast before reading Hidden Beauty or you’ll be very confused. The Dynasty World is complex and while you don’t have to read the other books in this world, it’s helpful. It’ll be easier to know why the characters do what they do.

Fantastic second book in this modern day Beauty and the Beast retelling. Following straight on from the killer cliffhanger at the end of Secret Beast, Hidden Beauty was gripping, full of tension, angst, suspense, secrets, twists and super hot, dirty, steamy action. Leo Morelli, what can I say about the Beast of Bishop's Landing. He's dangerous, ruthless, possessive, cruel and aloof. His reputation precedes him but this dark, beautiful but broken, tortured soul has so many layers hidden deep inside and when he lets a slither of emotion out, he shows how loyal, caring and protective he is and how he'll do anything to keep safe those he cares about. The more we saw the more he crept into my heart, I loved that he was brave enough to trust Haley, a Constantine, with his more vulnerable side. I totally fell for this man and despite his propensity to give pain as well as to feel it with such intensity, I get how Haley is drawn to him like a moth to a flame. I loved her too, she's strong, brave, feisty, but conflicted with her love for Leo and loyalty to her family. My heart cracked for them both for what they've been and are going through. This book was unputdownable and this trilogy is turning out to be my favourite so far in the Midnight Dynasty series. I am loving it. The Morelli/Constantine feud is building and its looking like all out war is coming, but not everyone hates each other as Leo and Hayley (amongst others) are proving. Is their love enough to save them though? I can't wait for what happens in the final book. Cruel author Amelia Wilde to hang us over another massive cliff edge!!! 5 dark, intense, heated stars.
