About this ebook

Hell-raiser, getaway driver, and occasional knight in tarnished armor Chuck Calder has never had any illusions about being a serious boyfriend. He may not be a good guy, but at least as part of Josh Salinger’s crew of upscale thieves and cons, he can feel good about his job.

Right now, his job is Lucius Broadstone.

Lucius is a blueblood with a brutal past. He uses his fortune and contacts to help people trying to escape abuse, but someone is doing everything they can to stop him. He needs the kind of help only the Salingers can provide. Besides, he hasn’t forgotten the last time he and Chuck Calder collided. The team’s good ol’ boy and good luck charm is a blue-collar handful, but he is genuinely kind. He takes Lucius’s mission seriously, and Lucius has never had that before. In spite of Chuck’s reluctance to admit he’s a nice guy, Lucius wants to know him better.

Chuck’s a guaranteed good time, and Lucius is a forever guy. Can Chuck come to terms with his past and embrace the future Lucius is offering? Or is Good Luck Chuck destined to be driving off into the sunset alone forever?

I was offered an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The Long Con Gang is back and it’s time for getaway driver Chuck to fall in love. I loved this book. I love the Long Con Family almost more than I love my family. After all this gang never convinced me to eat Sugar Twin, or Baker’s chocolate. This book is an exciting read that continues to flesh out the team’s characters, and team member Chuck gets his own love story. Granted, we saw this love story introduced in the last L.C. book, it’s nice to see how Chuck gets his happy ending. There is plenty of suspense as the gang tries to figure out who is sabotaging Lucius Broadstone’s company. I loved everything about this book, I definitely have fallen a little bit more in love with every member of the gang, and now Lucius Broadstone has been added to the roster. I would definitely recommend this as an excellent book.

Chuck and Lucius were wonderful characters, their story is a fantastic addition to the Long Con series. In my opinion, the flow of the series is important so I recommend reading the previous books first. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*

About the author

Award winning author Amy Lane lives in a crumbling crapmansion with a couple of teenagers, a passel of furbabies, and a bemused spouse. She has too damned much yarn, a penchant for action-adventure movies, and a need to know that somewhere in all the pain is a story of Wuv, Twu Wuv, which she continues to believe in to this day! She writes contemporary romance, paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and romantic suspense, teaches the occasional writing class, and likes to pretend her very simple life is as exciting as the lives of the people who live in her head. She’ll also tell you that sacrifices, large and small, are worth the urge to write.
