David Harsanyi is an award-winning columnist and senior editor at The Federalist. He is the author of the book "Nanny State: How Food Fascists, Teetotaling Do-Gooders, Priggish Moralists, and other Boneheaded Bureaucrats are Turning America into a Nation of Children." In addition to his columns, David's writings on politics and culture have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Reason, National Review, The Weekly Standard, The Christian Science Monitor, the Jerusalem Post, The Globe and Mail, The Hill and numerous other publications.
Harsanyi -- whose column focuses on politics, culture and the economy -- is, according to one critic, "willing to gore sacred cows on either side of the ideological fence." His column won six press association awards in 2007 (three for humor).
Before becoming a columnist, Harsanyi worked for more than a decade as an editor, reporter and producer at media outlets such as The Associated Press, the New York Daily News and Sports Illustrated online.
