About this ebook

Charly Bloom’s life took a wrong turn that has left her alone and frustrated. When she gets a call from an old flame, she returns to her hometown to investigate the disappearances of four children. The abductions are eerily similar to a set of previous crimes. Two decades ago, Charly and her three friends decided to play amateur detectives and help find a girl who was stolen from her home. Then, another girl went missing. Clues overlooked by the inept sheriff left only one child to survive: Charly. She managed to fight back and kill the Snatcher. Or so everyone thought…

Is the Snatcher back, or is there a copycat? Charly must face her past and her own personal demons in a race against time to save the latest victim.

Wow! What an e-page turner! And I immediately fell in love with Kit, the male protagonist. Better in looks than Clint Walker, how could I not! Author Nance imbues his former SBI heroine, edgy and brilliant Charly Bloom, with guts and grit and the lives of 3 cats, weaving her wisdom and sheer determination in this crazy, suspenseful thriller. Clearly formatted from flashback to “real time” so the reader isn’t confused by “which era am I in now?”, Nance catches the middle school lingo of the day and fast forwards to fast cars, bad boys and a “bad” good girl. He handles love trysts with just the right amount of detail without being lurid, saving that for the deeper, darker moments in the book. A must read for suspense/thriller/murder mystery lovers! Prepare yourself for frenzied late night reading.
