The story of a muslim middle class family in present day south India, and its social integration effort s get shattered by economic hardship and communal carnage, and subsequently leads to further difficulties. Narrated very well, By Anees Saleem. Khurshid Ahmad.

Anees Salim is an advertising professional employed with FCB-ULKA. His published works include The Vicks Mango Tree, Tales from a Vending Machine, Vanity Bagh (winner of The Hindu Prize for Best Fiction 2013) and The Blind Lady’s Descendants (winner of the Crossword Prize for Fiction, 2014). He lives in Kochi with his wife and two children, Omar and Adah.
