About this ebook

I don’t have the hots for my roommate… If I say it enough times, will I believe it?

Drew

Some people might say I’m allergic to change. They’d be right.

I’ve lived in the same house my entire life, worked at the same company since I graduated from college, and hung out with the same three friends since middle school. If you think that sounds boring, you’re in agreement with my new roommate—my sister’s best friend, Andrea Ruiz.

Andy has always been a ball buster, a hell raiser…and she’s also the sexiest woman I’ve ever met. I let her move in because she was down and needed a place to stay, but she’s taking a hammer to my carefully constructed life.

Andy

My grandmother’s always told me I’m too impulsive for my own good. Should’ve listened to her, I guess. I posted a few (very tame) videos of my feet on a platform known for its racy content, and suddenly found myself homeless and out of a job. But Drew took pity on me and gave me a place to live, and now the Fairy Godmother Agency, a husband and wife P.I. team who thrive on anarchy, is offering me a job.

Drew’s so solid and reliable. I know my chaos is driving him crazy, but there’s a part of me that likes driving him crazy. I want to crack his shell. Because in the brief moments when he lets himself relax his rules, he's surprisingly irresistible.

I loved Drew and his protective streak, even if he was a little dumb about it sometimes. Andy honestly kind of frustrated me with her self righteousness over her independence. I also loved the little bit of mystery that was involved with this book. This book also had some spice to it which was great, but I did feel like it was lacking a little compared to some of the other books. Not necessarily a bad thing, just wanted to add that in so others are aware. Overall I still enjoyed this book.

We’ve gotten to know Andy and Drew a little throughout the series and I was excited to finally get their story. The sexual tension and chemistry between them had me rooting for this will-they-won't-they romance. I think they make a great couple and balance each other out. That being said, I do feel that the romance aspect of the book fell flat and even felt rushed to me. The banter and sassy dialogue kept me laughing and entertained. All the previous characters are involved and bring depth to the story. I think I loved the scenes with Drew, Rafe, Griffin and Reggie the most. Nicole and Damien, of course, add some drama and amusement. The overall story is fun and entertaining, with a little bit of a mystery to solve. While this is the last book in the series, it sets up what will be a great new series to follow. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

If you enjoy enemies to lover books this is for you. The Fairy Godmothers are back again! A Brooding Bodyguard is the third book in the Fairy Godmother series. Angela has written a hilariously funny story filled with crazy antics, suspense and love. A delightful read.
