About this ebook

The Girl and the Ghosts is the third book from well-loved foster carer and Sunday Times bestselling author Angela Hart.

‘So, is it a girl or a boy, and how old?’ Jonathan asked as soon as we were alone in the shop.
My husband knew from the animated look on my face, and the way I was itching to talk to him, that our social worker had been asking us to look after another child.

Seven-year-old Maria holds lots of secrets. Why won’t she tell how she got the bruises on her body? Why does she run and hide? And why does she so want to please her sinister stepfather?

It takes years for devoted foster carer Angela Hart to uncover the truth as she helps Maria leave the ghosts of her past behind.

I'm enjoying Angela's books and learning more about the truths of fostering children. I have only fostered dogs and have no children of my own. I hope she's continues to write as she and Jonathan seem like such a great couple, and very dedicated to their "kids" and each other. Looking forward to MANY more stories from her!

I enjoyed this story about Maria... Angela and Jonathan sound like the most caring patient people ever what a fantastic job they do ❤️ Always there for Maria and look how well Maria done in the end with the right persistent love and support and encouragement.... No child should ever have to go through what poor Maria did at the hands of her own Mother and Step Father... I'm so happy she got her happy ending and I enjoyed reading every bit of this book so from me it's 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🤗👍
