About the author

ANN PEARSON is an award-winning former middle and high school science teacher who now assists in the development of K-12 science textbooks. She has trained science educators across the globe and speaks at science conferences and informal educational venues as a means of inspiring curiosity and encouraging kids to explore careers in science and engineering. She lives with her family in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where she enjoys biking, kayaking, skiing, community theater, quilting, and, of course, stargazing and storytelling by the campfire.
