Anne Ashby grew up in a very small coastal town in Southland, New Zealand. An eagerness to see the world, fostered by her amazing mother, led her to join the Royal NZ Navy where she enjoyed a very satisfying career. She has travelled extensively and lived in Singapore and Maryland USA. Worlds Apart is her first novel and depicts some of the cultural and language differences she encountered whilst living in that ?back to front? country, America. A true Pisces Anne loves the water and gets much of her inspiration while swimming. When not reading or writing, Anne finds plenty to occupy her time with her family commitments and an intense interest in genealogy. She currently lives in Wanganui, with her husband and two of their four children.
