About this eBook

All paths lead to destruction in the new Torpedo Ink novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan.

Savin “Savage” Pajari is convinced he’s not worth a damn thing. He’s not like his brothers. He’s a sadistic monster, a killer—a man no woman could truly love. So it completely throws him when a stranger risks her life for his, pushing him out of the way and taking the hit that would have sent him six feet under. If he had any kind of sense, he’d leave her alone, but Savage can’t get the woman with a smart mouth and no sense of self-preservation out of his head. With one kiss, he’s lost.

Seychelle Dubois has spent her entire life not feeling much of anything, until Savage comes along and sets her whole body on fire. Kissing him was a mistake. Letting him get close would be a catastrophe. He’s the most beautiful—and damaged—man she’s ever met. He has a way of getting under her skin, and what he’s offering is too tempting to resist.

Seychelle knows so little about Savage or the dangerous world of Torpedo Ink, but his darkness draws her like a moth to a flame. Loving him could mean losing herself completely to his needs—needs she doesn’t understand but is eager to learn. But what Savage teaches her could destroy her.

Fantastically Dark MC Read Let’s start out first by saying that if you have a hard time handling extreme darkness don’t read because it does not deserve to get fewer stars because of this reason. With that said some of us are drawn to the writing skills that Ms. Freehand gives us with her fantastic series of the Torpedo Ink MC. This is the story of Savage who is a sexual sadist and has been fighting his demons throughout. A very special woman comes into his life that could help Savage with his past if only he’ll let her. Seychelle has special powers as well that would prove very useful with the members of Torpedo Ink. To say that this story drew me in is an understatement. For me I felt extreme sadness as to how the members of Torpedo Ink were raised up from children to become child assassins. Their pasts consumed me but I admire the way they have changed their lives to helping others and trying to overcome what they endured. I have loved each and every member that I’ve read in this series and it has become one of my favorites. I always look forward as to what Ms. Freehand can bring me in more of the Torpedo Ink series.

In the midst of darkness there is light. I freely admit I am not a fan of S&M, kink. Call me staid and boring. I am not even a fan of erotica. Yet I read this series because 1.) Christine Feehan is a talented author. 2.) Through it all, every book, there is the thread of family and light. In this book, there is a fantastic scene with Savage and some ladies discussing what to get for someones birthday. Who knew Savage had the dry sense of humor and looking forward to the payback. I am not glossing over the depravity they all endured, if you read the series or the warnings, you should have the information needed to make an informed decision for you. Through it all the boys grew into tortured men and women, made their own family and are learning how to live and love in the world today. I do skim the S&M, and erotica - as mentioned its not for me. I never knew Savages talent till it was spelled out. I am not talking about the whip. To think of the guilt that would leave on the rest of the group, knowing now where all that anger and hatred and rage comes from. To take this dark tortured person and show the kindness, trying to save a boy, helping the old (although Seychelle started that). Light. Thank you for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

I love love love all of Christine's book series. This series and Sisters of the Heart really had drawn me in more than I'd ever thought. I have to say though, Savage is such a crucial person to his brothers and sisters and I really thought that his book would end out the series---building him up with each story so he sees how much he is needed and then BAM, someone comes into his life that makes him realize how worth it he really is. Seychelle, sorry, but I don't like her for him This book should have been about Maestro going with his brothers to hear a woman sing and that woman should have been for him, therefore the book would have been his story. Now, I'm not saying Seychelle was for him either...just well...a strong woman. I still love the series. Ink has to get with Lana. That would be great as well as Destroyer and Elena. I look forward to all Feehan's other series this new year!
