About this ebook

A heartwarming Christmas tale from USA Today bestseller Anthea Lawson, perfect for anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by the season...

Miss Cecilia Fairfax dreads the upcoming holidays. Between caring for her elderly father and managing a household barely out of mourning, she has no time for the softer things in life.

Liam Barrett, the Earl of Tarrick, is certain he will not accept Marcus Fairfax’s invitation to spend Christmas at the Fairfax family’s estate – and the man’s tales of a family ghost have nothing to do with his decision.

Of all the blessings of the season, sometimes the most unexpected is love…

This was the first piece of Anthea Lawson's work that I've read and I really enjoyed it. It was too short though, which happens a lot with short stories. I loved the line; "His tongue, most traitorous and ungentlemanly, took advantage". Sorry if I spoil anything for anyone, but I really thought that was amusing. I recommend this book for sure and I hope you enjoy it too. I'm going to try one of Anthea's full-length novels next and I hope it's just as enjoyable.

Excellent little story for a gloomy rainy day to brighten the gloom. I hope to read more of her stories, and longer ones at that. This author has a sweet talent for historical romance!
