About the author

Antonio Mira de Amescua (Guadix, Granada, c. 1574-1644). España. De familia noble, estudió teología en Guadix y Granada, mezclando su sacerdocio con su dedicación a la literatura. Estuvo en Nápoles al servicio del conde de Lemos y luego vivió en Madrid, donde participó en justas poéticas y fiestas cortesanas.
