I have read and loved every single book in this series. This one is different from the rest, in that Club Eros and The Eros Pit do not make more than a glancing appearance. In fact, even the Ryan clan are barely mentioned. The story is intense, with Rafe undercover and trying to bring down Victor Petrov and the Bratva in Denver. Ella is Victor's niece, and Rafe is her assigned bodyguard. At first they are oil and water. She taunts him constantly and he antagonizes her. That animosity evolves soon into something more. Their love is bittersweet, believing there is an expiration date. Of course, the author gives us an HEA, because she's awesome like that. And what an HEA! You'll just have to read it. It's a fabulous book, and so worth the one click. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I feel like I’ve been waiting to see Rafe’s Happy Ever After since pretty much the beginning of the series. A mafia czarina was nowhere on my list of what I thought could be possible. But these two worked, amazingly well. Ella pushed all my Brat buttons for the first half of the book and made me absolutely mental. Rafe was exactly the controlled alpha she needed. It still wasn’t anything I was expecting, and the end makes me very curious to know where the author will take us next.

Rafe and Ella's story is a little different from the others. Ella is trying to get away from her uncle who is deep in the mafia. Rafe is an undercover agent working for her uncle. When he is tasked with protecting Ella, sparks ignite between them. Try as he may to deny his feelings. Will his cover be blown and will he be able to keep her safe. About the author

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Anya grew up listening to Cardinals baseball and reading anything she could get her hands on. She remembers her mother saying if only she would read the right type of books instead binging her way through the romance aisles at the bookstore, she’d have been a doctor. While Anya never did get that doctorate, she graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with an M.A. in History.
