The anxiety and tension was definitely higher than usual in these last two volumes. Having Haruhiro's team split up for a majority of the time meant more time spent shifting perspectives and giving us insight into how the other characters think, which is super refreshing. Haruhiro may be my favorite character, but I want to know how the others think and feel as well, which is something I could only really guess at until these recent installments. As usual, Jyumonji-sensei did NOT disappoint. Getting to hear the inner monologues of the others, especially Merry and Yume, made me love these characters even more. That said, I become only more anxious when I remember that any one of these characters could bite the dust at any time. I look forward to the story, but I will always worry about who goes next.
