I'm giving this five stars because as the culmination of a twelve-book story line, it blows other series out of the water. It is definitely a War! Some reviews claim too much war or not enough romance, but my friends...there's WAR in the title and Nalini knows how to write it well. As long as you have the other stories fresh in your mind there is no issue at all with this book. The main character and side characters are already so well fleshed out in the other eleven books that you don't need alot here. That is hard to do with so many characters- oftentimes they fade out of your memory by the time you get to the later books. Elena amd Raphael are so REAL. All of the characters stay true to their story arcs. I will definitely read this series again and I am SO HAPPY that I started this year (2020) when the majority were already out. Can't wait for Illium's book!!!!

Totally in love with the Guild Hunter Series. Read every book multiple times. Archangels War is a fitting end to a long but enjoyable story arc with the demise of one (or two) major villain. This book ends with a satisfying conclusion to the stories from the first book Angel's Blood, and gives subtle hints to what to look forward to in the next book. A new beginning, an unknown future, new characters, and with a little bit old menace left behind for continuity. Can't wait for Archangel's Sun, pre-ordered months ago and gutted that it is releasing in November, instead of the usual September release as before!

About Archangel's and angels, and also vampires living amongst humans is so captivating, can not put it down. I have read all in this series and waited for this last book. The only thing I will say is there was just a tiny bit to much war-sided, and after waiting so long not enough of the love story of Raphael and Elena and their everyday life. The book just moved to fast and not long enough! Sorry, Ms Singh this is the best series ever!!!
