Arunkumar Murugesan, who uses the pen name Arun K. Murugesan (AKM), was born and brought up in the coastal city of Pondicherry. He hails from a middle-class family, with educationist parents who retired as government school headmasters. Arun’s father Kalaimamani, Mr. Pa. Murugesan, is a renowned writer and a playwright. It is he who instilled the thought that pursuing one’s passion despite having a day job is possible. Arun grew up seeing his father write a lot of books and hold rehearsals for stage dramas at home. At a very young age, Arun started telling stories to his school friends during the lunch break. With a great passion to tell stories, Arun is back to capture the interest and imagination of young minds. This time around, he has created a brave character named “Little Bharathi” to tell his stories. Much inspired by the Tamil poet Maha Kavi Bharathi, this little girl is a symbol of courage and the fight against injustice. Thanks to his friends who firmly believed that he should share his unique stories to the larger audience and spread the joy, this book is a tribute to them. This will be the first of the series of books to follow, with Little Bharathi in the lead.
