About this eBook

A dying star. Celestial love. An ancient alien city destined to fall into shadow.

Greta sees only in the colorless hues of silver and black on the faraway dying star, Ashta. Ashtium, the star's richest city, keeps its source of light hidden. Without it, the alien empire will fall into shadow. The empire's elusive ruler knows exactly when and how their star will die.

Enoch, the empirical prince, tries his best to help the seemingly helpless and incompetent twenty-three-year-old woman find her way inside the haven city. As time goes on, Greta ends up helping his twisted family heal, but such a change will spark a peculiar dilemma as she gains her own power.

This book was amazing! Greta started off this book as this lonely shy girl who could have never lasted around others since growing up on her own for a big portion of her life. She then evolves into this amazing caring girl who could take care of herself and be surrounded by people with no problem. The romance this book brings is also on another level, it throws relationships and love at you that you never saw coming. At the beginning of the book I would have thought that the emperor would have been the villain or bad guy but as you read throughout the whole story your view of each character beings to change and you learn that Urdmin and the Empress are the real bad guys. Urdmin was just a mean old man who felt he could get away with whatever he wanted even if he went about it in the wrong way and the empress needed to learn how to control her anger and jealousy in much better ways then she did. They both had an affair going on but neither felt they were in the wrong even when they attempted to accomplish evil or went about things the wrong way. Even the emperor went about things the wrong was at first but I think by the end he had realized his wrong doings. Enoch is the Emperors son and ends up taking over as emperor, he’s also falling madly in love with Greta and I believe grows throughout the book as well. But I’m still questioning whether Great will end up getting with and marrying Enoch or will she wait for the Emperor when he gets back from his 4 month travels. She says she will be with Enoch but I believe things may change. Will Enoch be able to handle taking over his father’s role as Emperor? But all together this book is an amazing read and I have already recommended it to a few of my friends. It has amazing detail and you can picture scenes and what the characters look like in your head and you follow along with the story. In some scenes it even feels as if you’re in the room with the characters or you’re in the fight within the story, you could be sitting right along with them as they solve their problems and figure out life. If you like sci-fi and romance then this may be a book for you because as they live life on their dying star a romance build and some die, you get scenes thrown at you that you never saw coming and its definitely a page turner.
