About this ebook

Fall in love and discover how sweet home can be, in International Bestselling Author Ava Miles’s powerful tale about facing the ghosts of the past, finding home in the present, and discovering a love of a lifetime.

He’d lost all hope of ever having a home.

Home was the only thing she’d ever wanted.

Chase Parker lost his home in a tragedy as a kid and poured all his dreams into becoming a respected corporate executive of a billionaire enterprise. A legend is more enduring. A home can be taken away in a second.

Moira Hale is excited to have her first real home at last. Life is coming up daisies as she begins her fantabulous new job, working on a high-powered fundraiser Chase is involved with. Except she soon realizes she wants to share a home with someone special, and that person is Chase.

Chase never liked to be tied down to one place, but he finds himself stuck in small town Dare Valley recovering from a skiing accident—and in a home much like the one he lost. The only good thing about his time-out is Moira looking after him and lifting his spirits all the while tantalizing him.

Neither anticipate how deep their feelings go. Chase certainly doesn’t expect to sift through the ashes of his past in order to heal and share his memories with Moira—or find comfort in all the things he’d locked away. But soon Chase discovers how sweet home can be…all the while falling in love.

Home Sweet Love by Ava Miles is the 10th book in the Dare Valley series. While it is not my favorite in the series, it was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Moira and Chase are both strong, independent personalities. Watching them learn how to balance trust and love with still remaining independent was fascinating. I loved the fact that when Chase was opening up his heart and soul to Moira, she didn't try to use platitudes or pat answers to make things better. Instead, she sat with him, held him when he cried, and was just there. As a survivor of trauma, I can testify that there is no better feeling than to have someone you love, whether relative, friend, or significant other, just be there. There's no need for words or reassurance. There's just a need to have someone to listen. That's exactly what Moira does for Chase and it's one of the greatest gifts she could give him. Being back in the familiar setting of Dare Valley was lovely. When you read a book in a favorite series, it's like "coming home" in a sense. This book was no exception to that. Similarly, it was great to see the majority of the extended Dare Valley family. The only thing I didn't like in this one is that I didn't like how Evan was "handling" Chase. Forcing someone to face their past is not always a good thing; it's easy for such "good intentions" to backfire and for the intended person to become even more embittered and hardened. Luckily, it worked out this time around and Chase was able to heal, not only from this newer trauma, but from the trauma in his earlier life. As is usually the case, we got a "sneak peek" at the next book in the series by seeing interactions between the next couple to be featured. After seeing how J.T. & Caroline interacted together, I'm very excited for their book! All-in-all, it was a great book and I highly recommend it! ** I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.**

We met Chase in the Dare Valley Meets Paris series now he gets his story told in the tenth book in the Dare Valley series. I'm going to be honest I really had to warm up to Chase. The moment I was won over was hen Barney the kitty came into his life. I completely understand why Chase has the personality he does, but it was a wonderful thing to watch Moira work her magic on him. There is also the ground work setting up the next book in the series and I can't wait for it. I'm already hooked by just what I read in this book. Ava Miles has a way of writing a book with emotion and heart.

This is another great Ava Mile’s book. I have loved all of her books and this is no exception. This is a book from the Dare Valley series. You do NOT have to read them all, or in order to appreciate this book. In this book we learn about Chase Parker and his past, he isn’t a gushy guy with sentiments of home, love and family. He hides in his work and soon has to learn a different way. Chase Parker is the CFO of Quid-Atch, the company that is in charge of The Artemis Institute of Innovation, a private institute designed to foster young inventors helping them with seed money and training at Emmits Merriam University in Dare Valley. Moira Hale is the director of The Artemis Institute of Innovation, and she works in some ways with Chase as they oversee the Institutes first fundraiser. Moira steps in to be a friend, and their feelings that were hanging around, might make things more interesting. Chase does not have sweet, happy memories of a loving fun home. Moira Hale is from a big loving family that is all about love, supporting each other and home. Moira is the human resource and go to person for the Institute working with Evan and Chase is her boss. Chase has a skiing accident that brings up issues of his past, and the fact that he works so much. He has to learn how to relax and take time off from work to heal. Chase and Mora are both big human resource people/ rule following, so they are very concerned about what could happen working together if something does not work out, especially because in Chase’s mind it was a temporary thing. I love learning about Chase’s past and following how he and Mora start to become more than friends, and having fun learning more about each other. Chase has a sentimental, caring side that we learn about slowly throughout the book. I love how healers of different types to try and heal Chase faster are introduced into the story as I feel it adds an interesting level to the book. Acupuncturist, Qigong and a healer are used to help with more emotional healing but also his physical healing. Here Chase learns that he needs more than work to be happy and live a good life. Will Chase be able to open back up to love after all this repressed issues from his family’s fire that destroyed their home and in his eyes all their lives? He doesn’t talk about the fire to anyone, and has always repressed everything and anything about it. That is until the skiing accident that brought it all back up. This is an amazing book and I recommend it to all. "I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review.
