Stella Fall is a relatively new FBI Agent. She and her partner are on their own in a murder case that should be easy to solve but quickly proves the opposite. There is a lot of detail in this fourth book in the series and I enjoyed the characters struggles with the insecurity of being in the field alone for the first time. This series is developing and growing on me. **I received this book in exchange for an honest review. **

Book 4 in series sees Stella and FBI partner tracking down a killer after a newly divorced lady with a penchant for the limelight drugs and younger guys goes to a teen party and is found dead.. Then Stella rattles the murderer and is a target to be silenced.. Add to this more clues about her dad's disappearance and feelings for her partner starting to appear, but then a twist sees Stella shocked to the core by a discovery. A great read 👍

Stella doubled with Maxwell is out on the field on their first solo murder case and what seemed to be simple turns out to be a quite difficult case to break. The plot is well put together and keeps the reader's attention from the beginning to the end. The characters are believable as well as most of the situations described. The story has a lot of twists and turns and so many difficulties for the still very new agents that even the reader sometimes feels this one they'll not be able to break. But a personal note at the end of the story leaves Stella astounded and heartbroken. A very good and entertaining story. As a member of the author's ARC team, I downloaded a free copy of this book and this is my honest review.
