Ilse has a very troubled past and still today she suffers the consequences of it. Even when working a case she almost freezes when she recognizes similarities between what happened to her and her family and the circumstances she has to face because of a crime. Tom is also a troubled soul, he doesn't talk much, doesn't let anyone reach him, and is going worse by the minute making Ilse feel afraid for her life. Besides finding a killer who is striking a town, they both will deal with their pasts.
