Firebird is a bright orange baby Oriole who just loves the sunshine. But whenever a storm blows in, he frets and asks Mama why God allows the rain to take the sun away. When Firebird is finally old enough, his mother gently instructs him to fly up through the thunder and lightning to see what’s on the other side. It’s a rough flight and just when he’s about to give up, Firebird rises above the storm to discover the sun shining where it always had been.
Firebird is a children’s book that parallels the life of Samantha Crawford, a storybook artist in the inspirational film Unconditional, who lost sight of God’s love and discovered it again.

Brent McCorkle escribió el guión de la película Incondicional y también la dirigió. Su película anterior, titulada The Rift (La ruptura), es un relato metafórico sobre adopción que ganó el premio de Doorpost Film Project en el año 2009. Brent y su esposa tienen cinco hijos.

Amy Parkerha escrito más de veinte libros para niños, adolescentes y adultos, entre los que se incluyen My Christmas List (Mi lista de regalos navideños), el éxito editorial A Night Night Prayer (La oración para dormir) y dos obras ganadoras del premio editorial Christian Retailing’s Best. Amy y su esposo tienen dos hijos.

Rob Corley alcanzó en 1990 la meta de toda su vida —llegar a ser animador de Disney tras finalizar sus estudios en dibujo e ilustración.  Durante los años que trabajó en Disney, Rob participó en la creación de personajes de Disney tales como Bernardo y Bianca en Cangurolandia, La bella y la bestia, El Rey León y Tierra de osos: Hermano Oso.  Corley es propietario de la empresa Funnypages Productions en Franklin, Tennessee (EE.UU.).

Chuck Vollmer comenzó a trabajar como dibujante de fondos en Disney en mayo de 1991, donde participó en la creación de películas clásicas de Disney como La bella y la bestia, El Rey León y Lilo y Stich.  Chuck se desempeña como director artístico en Funnypages Productions de Franklin, Tennessee (EE.UU.)


Brent McCorkle wrote and directed the film Unconditional. His previous movie, The Rift, a metaphoric story about adoption, was a winner in The Doorpost Film Project 2009. Brent and his wife have five children.

Amy Parker has written more than twenty books for children, teens, and adults including My Christmas List, the best-selling A Night Night Prayer, and two Christian Retailing’s Best award winners. Amy and her husband have two children.

Rob Corley achieved his life-long goal of becoming a Disney animator in 1990 after completing his illustration studies.  Over his years at Disney, Rob had a hand in creating such Disney characters as the Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Brother Bear, and Aladdin.  Corley is the owner of Funnypages Productions in Franklin, TN.

Chuck Vollmer began working as a Disney background artist in May of 1991, and had a hand in creating Disney classics including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Lilo and Stich. Mulan ,and The Princess and the Frog as well as on several VeggieTales DVDs and books. Chuck works as lead staff artist at Funnypages Productions in Franklin, TN.
