This book was a real emotional rollercoaster! I didn’t think you could fit so much drama of all kinds into this size book, but Baker found a way! I found The Reboot to be a quick, but packed read. This is a continuation of the story of the two widowed sisters-in-law, their kids, husbands/ boyfriends/friends/in-laws/families. Lots of little plot twists in this book. Nothing went the way I was expecting it to and of course there were some fun surprises at the end.

I was so excited for this story. I love how Bridget weaves together the stories of the three women. How they come together when things are hard. It's such a beautiful story of friendship and love. Life definitely doesn't always turn out how we plan it, but that's okay. Abigail, Amanda and Donna persevere through trials, and we get some insights into Helen, who I hope we hear more about in the next book!

Continued storyline, must be read in order (worth every minute!) Clean romance, family drama, adult friendships Things I loved: Blue demon poop Abigail's baby shower Ethan "Please tell me you were helping with the horses." Amanda Saddler: she's old and says what she wants, and she's usually right. But she's crazy. Helen: she's a fierce protector of Abigail. I am so glad she's joining the storyline, I love her! The men: common cowboys: patient, protective, and funny. Willing to stand where they need and sway when necessary, but strong enough to not break. “Haven’t you ever heard the phrase, ‘a roll in the hay’?” “The people in this room are just like that. Annoying. Irritating. In the way." “She had something stuck in her teeth." The women: a little bit crazy, love big, independent and capable, strong enough to know when to rely on their men. "If she’s already legally dead, would I be in trouble if I killed her?" " Will doesn’t apologize, because he knows my feelings aren’t his fault." "But without fail, once I recover from the reversal of expectations, once I round the bend, another brilliant vista appears. The pivots are painful when they happen, but without them, I’d never be here, enjoying the new views in my life."

About the author

Bridget loves her husband (every day) and all five of her kids (most days).

She’s a lawyer, but does as little legal work as possible. She has three quarter horse geldings, a Holsteiner (jumping) horse, and she spends too much time riding and not enough time writing. (Or too much time writing and not enough time riding, depending on your perspective!)

She has more chickens than she’ll admit to having, two lions head rabbits, a cat, two dogs (one bouncy and one yappy). She makes cookies waaaaay too often and believes they should be their own food group. In a (possibly misguided) attempt at balancing the scales, she kickboxes daily.

So if you don’t like her books, her kids, her horses, her chickens, or her cookies, maybe don’t tell her in person.
