I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is book 4 of a 5-book series. I have read all 3 previous books and adored them so much. Each book easily stands alone but they happen in the same world and feature a different couple in each book. When I heard this book was coming out, I could not wait. I would characterize this book as a second chance romance with a single mom. The series is about 5 best friends who met in college became best friends, got into business together, are all super rich and powerful and they also row together on an amateur team supported by their company. This is Owen and Lisa 's story and the story is told in several parts. It begins when Lisa finds out she is pregnant and then it takes us through her relationship with Owen, a close friend of her boss and a customer at the bar she runs for that friend, Danny. This is a story that takes us thru the 8 years Lisa and Owen have known each other and there are MANY twists and turns along the way. There were times in this story I HATED Owen A LOT. He was mean, cruel and he hurt Lisa. In this book while from the outside he looks mature, he really isn't and it takes him 8 years to really grow up and figure out what, and who he wants and to see love and connections are what life is truly about. We love who we love and this was a very realistic love story though at times I just wanted Owen to realise how precious life and family was. I felt at times he took it for granted a lot. Lisa, wow she is strong, a fighter but also someone who loves big and Owen was so lucky to find her. This was not just a second chance at love story but more like a 9th chance at love story. But its also a story about love, friendship, forgiveness and growing up.

4.5 Stars for Baby Magnet ( Titans of Tech #3) Another new author and another series to play catch up on. This is the first hook I have read by T.S. Layne but it certainly won’t be the last and after reading single mum Lisa Liu and Owen Donahue’s story I’m looking forward to reading the previous tw books in this series. Owen is a successful businessman used to getting his own way, he knows what he wants and he expects to get it when he wants it. He has met Lisa a few times in the past but the timing was never right so what happens this time around when he has his sights set firmly on Lisa. Lisa works in a bar doing the best she can fir herself and her adorable daughter Polly, all she wants is love, happiness and a family for her and Polly but Owen should ge the last man she looks at because he is never going to settle down or is he…….. This quick read kept me on the edge of my seat, it’s full of secrets, twists and turns, it’s emotional yet entertaining and let’s not forget the sizzling chemistry. A great read with wonderful characters that I couldn’t get enough off, irs a story that left me wanting to read the previous books so that should tell you to one click this gem of a read.

Lisa is one of those characters you wish you could befriend. Her strength and determination to be able to live her life as she sees fit is admirable. She doesn't hold back when it comes to her daughter, Polly. She's fierce, loving and completely devoted. Lisa also knows what she wants and what she deserves and if Owen can't figure his life out, Lisa can't do it for him as much as she would love to have him in her and Polly's lives. This is a very emotional story that touches a nerve. Single motherhood is challenging but, not impossible. Lisa figures it out. She has help from her wealthy friends but, it is all her being a good mom to Polly. Owen is a tough character to like at times. Sure, he's been handling his personal life as best he can but, he has difficulty seeing the everyday details because he's focused on the big picture. And, any man who continually admits he doesn't want a relationship, kids and happily ever after is going to go down hard and kick himself in the process. I recommend this book.
