Great grandmother she had never seen left Gillian the house in Maine. Seemed like a friendly town faces that smiled at her. Fresh crab cake, at a homey looking cafe. Joe was not keen on showing her where the house was at, thinking she would probably sell it soon. Attractive, but thought he better stay single, and had his daughter Jenny to raise. Stepping out in faith, that she would settle here, make friends. Now her father she hadn’t seen since a young child claims there is a newer Will leaving him the house. Interesting plot, with a strong faith can she meet him as her father, even to loosing the house that seems like home now to her. As for Joe, telling him what her job was in Las Vegas, the love she has for Jenny. A story strong in their faith, trusting God in their lives,of family and friends. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Barbara McMahon gives us another sweet read with faith and God,as a priority. Gillian moves to Rocky Point, when her great-grandmother dies and leaves her her house. Joe is her next door neighbor, along with his seven year old daughter, Jenny. While reading this story, we learn that Joe and Gillian are both faith driven individuals. When Gillian’s father arrives, claiming Sophie wanted him to have the house instead, what will Gillian do? Will she return to Vegas or will she stay and see what the lawyer finds out? I really enjoyed the suspense in this book and how the church helps out in your time of need.
