Although Nefra has been dead for thousands of years, Lana cannot get the young man out of her mind.
 
When a priceless treasure is stolen from the exhibit and Lana is the only witness, she knows it’s up to her to find the thief. But vivid dreams of Nefra and Urbena have been haunting her sleep, and Lana swears she can hear Nefra’s voice calling out to her. Is she going crazy? Or is she more connected to the story of the doomed lovers than she could ever have imagined?

i read this book when i was young, i couldnt put it down, then forgot about it until a few days ago when i had a memory of it. after some sleuthing i found it. it doesnt hold the same magic as it once did when i was a tween lol but it was still decent.

About the author

Barbara Steiner (1934–2014) was an acclaimed author known for her books for children and young adults. Steiner authored over seventy titles, including picture books, early chapter books, mysteries, young adult thrillers, historical novels, and romances. In her lifetime, Steiner visited more than ninety-four countries and all seven continents, and many of her books were inspired by her travels. She lived in Boulder with her family until her death in January 2014.
